Featuring simple lines and functional styles, Shaker artifacats and reproduction furniture are enjoying a surging popularity in the United States. Shakers were a communitarian group in the eighteenth and nineteenth century in Europe and America.
They were originally an apocolyptic Quaker splinter group known for their resourcefulness, their hard work, and their absolute devotion to religion.
Most of the artists featured on this site work in other styles as well as creating Shaker style reproduction furniture. By and large, they specialize in modern reproductions of styles that were common in America's earlier years, and their finished piecesare hardy, beautiful, and of truly of heirloom quality. If you are interested in excellent Windsor Chairs or in Queen Anne,
